As all of you already probably know the quest for speed starts in the garage and not on the track. If you dial your car in a Talladega you can run a solid 195, but a poor setup can only pull a 190-192. These few miles an hour can seem like a lot when you are running for the pole on HAWAII. These places that you start back can be the difference between taking the lead on the first lap and winning, or getting caught in the 13 car pile up when you see "BIG TROUBLE IN TRI-OVAL" and you drive right into it.
