The download includes a new "Layout" folder and a "Readme.txt" file with information for installing. (Veteran NR2003 players know they can just backup their Layout folder and overwrite it with this one.) Included is a new menu background (it does not affect your backgrounds for each mod), a new, less obtrusive Papyrus logo in the top-left part of the screen, a new transparent table background, for pages with large tables like the track selection screen, and lastly, it removes the HUGE NR2003 logo on the main menu as well as removing some other background tables for a smoother and cleaner look. When I say "backup your layout folder", you don't have to delete it after the backup to put this modification in your game, I just put that advice in case you have other layout modifications and want a backup of them. The original NR2003 installation will have the "layout" folder and inside, the file "layout.dat". If that is the only file in your layout folder, than all you have to do is copy the contents of this download's layout folder to yours, nothing else to worry about. Otherwise, if you have other files in there, you'll want to backup first to avoid overwriting a layout mod you may not have elsewhere. If other layouts modify the background, reflection and such, this will overwrite it. |
