The real car deviates from his design in both shapes and color hues.
Go look at the original design, not the actual car. You'll see.

edf40wrjww2NASNET_comment:commentdescription fiogf49gjkf0d fiogf49gjkf0d OK, here's the deal. I flat forgot the name and I didn't feel like putting it on after I had already rendered it and shut everything down.
Thing is, had I posted an in game screen shot, it's so small that you probably couldn't see it anyway. Can't see it in the game on track either, so there's no big F'ing deal in my opinion.
The colors on the real car don't exactly match the ones on the dude's design either, so why doesn't everybody write Newman's painter and gripe about that? The render lightens the colors more than they are, but they're still even darker on the real car. There's also a slight difference in the jags in the yellow from the design to the real car. Go to Kodak's contest site, and you'll see that my version closely matches the guy's design. I didn't have the befefit of a pic of the real car when I did this one.
Once again: Don't like it, don't download it. It's as simple as that. |

The shading for the yellow is a darker magenta, not black, and it is on the car. It doesn't show up well in the render. I eyedropped the colors straight off his design. And I didn't put the contest winner's name on it for personal reasons. Don't like it, don't download it.
I'm sure the community is eagerly awaiting your upcoming "perfect" version of the car. |
