Ok, as far as that other roof camera, it's still got a bit too much of the hood and windshield showing for me. I wanted a certain amount of the hood showing to try to simulate this kindof view: http://www.daleearnhardt.net/history/98daytona/roofcam.jpg That's why I had it so far back, because any further forward wouldn't look like that. As far as trying to get what we see of the roof to be stretched out straight across the screen like in that real shot, the only thing I could think of was to work with the field of view a little, but it didn't really accomplish anything. Like I said, these virtual cameras are too "big" to look exactly like that.

Hey man, I already made a post for a 2005 roof cam. I'm not saying mine is better or worst than yours. Its more or less the point of view of the person who is playing that has the deciding vote. I edit camras alot.. just for personal use and to get pics for the leagues i race in. I have not seen one like this.. but it is nice. Try and move it up and to the left a tad, and try and mess with the way it stretches out the car. Im pretty sure u know what im talking about If your editing these the ways I do. And ive got template updates i add when i paint my cars for me to have little logos and exactly where they go so i can see my sponsors when i view the roof cam.

By the way, I looked around for a roof cam update before I did this and couldn't find one, so if there is one out there I'd be interested to see it.

It's not possible to make it look exactly like the cams on TV, because on tv they're using a tiny little camera mounted on the roof. The way this camera behaves, it's as if we've mounted a full size tv camera on the car. The point is, I felt like the position it's in makes it look the most like what we see on TV. If I actually position this camera where they mount the real ones, we'd be back to the "windshieldy" view.

But it has to be on the edge. The top number never appears on TV, does it? Only some tiny sponsor logos. So how come al te "tweaked" cam views show huge portion of the number? Not to mention the CAMERA that's always visible...Like on this screen shot!
