Is their a limite to how big the file can be? I tried makeing it longer (playing over about 4 times) and nothen happen. But nice work. Any others out their like this?

Been looking for that theme. Nice find. FYI: this can be done with any sound file. All you have to do is convert the file to .wav format at 22050 Hz and rename the file uiendevt.pmf. Mine is set to the 'Nascar on Fox' theme song that is played at the start of the telecast.

Awesome man, but it doesn't save as an mp3 doing it the way you described. I saved it as NASCARTheme.mp3, it says it's an mp3 but when I try to open it, it says it is corrupt, or invalid. Am I the only person with this error.

From the moment I installed NR2003 MONTHS ago, it would crash to the dt when the winner screen came up...no sound EVER played...now i d/l this and it Doesnt crash, but skips the winners screen now and goes right to the next race setup screen....help me please! :)

that, i don't know. Extract the sound.dat and find the sound file that contains it.

if you have N2002, it may not work. N2003, it will. it is working for me in N2003. don't modify the file name or the extension of .pmf just place it in C:\Papyrus\NASCAR Racing 2003 Season\sound. (or what ever directory you have it in). Also, check to see if the file is 1.55 MB big unzipped. zipped, it will be 1.51 MB(or 1.52 MB) if it isn't download the file again until it is 1.51 or so MB (no less)

put it in your NR2003/sound folder. DO NOT put it in the SPCC folder. it will NOT work. It should play when you get the screen after the race that says "NASCAR RACING SERIES" on top. (by default) it may now say "NASCAR NEXTEL CUP"

if you windows media player, you can open the file in wmp. It will give you a dialogue box saying if you want to play it. Click on "Yes". Then go to File--> Save As. Then in the file name box, type the name that you want it. I will call it NASCARTheme. You want it to read NASCARTheme.mp3 and it will be saved in mp3 format. That is how i got it from a .ogg to .wav to a .pmf. (I had to use WinVorbis to get it from a .ogg to a .wav)
