WHAT, No improved saftey are you nuts... Dale Jr. would have prob been out for a long time if it wernt for nascar's saftey, all these wrecks you see are all minor now they say just due to inmporved saftey

Im not so sure that NASCAR will ever change its safety rules on the track's regulations on speed and hp but it ticks me off that NASCAR didn't do away with restrictor plates after Dales death...the one driver who did good on them yet hated em....died from them....how pathetic!!Nascar has lost their most famous role model and its not enough for them to say "hey!!! maybe restrictor plate racing is killing our drivers"So no....i don't think Nascar has yet to really improve their safety:(

Yeah but the saftey came after Earnhardt's Crash thats what made Nascar wake up and say hey we need some more saftey for these head on impacts and not so much on these Flips

I think nascar brags to much on the safty! Wouldent you all agree? Back in 2001 Daytona 500 after tony's flip they were braging about the safty in all the cars, They were showing Dale Ernhardt's cut away car for an example. About 40 min later the same drivers car they were showing in the cut away car was sadly killed. To me I think nascar shouldent brag so much. I can say this, IF THE CAR IS SO DAM SAFE WHY DID THE ROLL CAGE BREAK APART? HIS BODY WAS LEFT IN THE AIR!!! HE HAD NOTHING TO PROTECT HIM FROM BEING HIT BY ANOTHER CAR! I CAN SAY IF JOHNY WOULD HAVE WENT A LITTLE HIGHER THEN MIKE WHOULD HAVE LOST HIS LIFE. Just my point of view. Peace.

When you see a crash like this and hear people talking about how their safety measures did the trick, take a close look at the car. The only thing that held together was the seat belts, neck restraints, helmet, and fire suit. Also, why is it that only Busch cars explode like this? I've never seen a WC car do this. Later.

Simple, it's a recording, being given away for no cost. It'd be like me giving you a cassette tape of the race, if you were out of town. Plus, this is not footage from a race, instead Totally NASCAR, which dos'nt have the same warning applied. According to U.S. law, no, this is not illegal.

i didnt notice til the other night they pointed it out on (race zone) his right foot was being dragged on the track after he was hit , notice the slight limp as he exited the car...LUCKY!...THANKS FOR THE POST

the latch could of broken also so lets not get hasty what if that guy has to support his family by latching that gate did you all ever think about that

Mikey Waltrip had a Simmalar wreck in Busch like that back in about 11 years ago there the wall gaveway and tore his car in half

Lemme' Exsplane Something here some people might know this but. To a Driver Mike Harmons wreck was horrible but to as far as A crash like Dale Earnhardt's is far worse than a flip, sure a flip looks more hellashish and worrible. But when they flip they loose momentum and slow down, and with Nascar's new safty items it is alot better than having a wreck like Earnhardt's. Earnhardt hit head on and stopped all that force is applyed to the body. All it really is Simple Physics. Thank you

was the wall supposed to give in that reck i don't think it was but it is weird that dale loses his life in a less violent but harder hitting crash than this but sauter came ABOUT || || <<<<< THAT CLOSE TO HITTING HARMOND thats close but thank god no one was hurt

Its weird, how a wreck this bad a guy can walk away from, and same with steve parks wreck at pocono, and then you see Dale Earnhardt hit the wall and loose his hood and die....kinda weird......lol on the video he just climbs outa his seat, no window or nothing, on nascar, they said the engine flew off the car and was still running as it slid down the back stretch, then it ran outa gas and stopped but the poepl on pit heard it going as it slid by, we can get some chuckle sout of this wreck becuase no one got hurt

it wasnt publicity they would put someones life in danger like that. Anyways the theres 2 cars in the second shot becuase they were cars farther down pit road than the camera in the begining of the replay could see. The cameras were in different directions.

actually, I'm not saying it is true but if you look at the pit road when the crash starts and then when it replays you can see that there was two other cars on pit road and at the beginning there was only one... So what I believe (after reviewing the video) is that this was just for publicity... I'm not saying its true though, and I'm not wanting to start rumors... peace out...

this is definatly worse...what amazes me in both wrecks how the cars just disinigrate...And they say that he was unharmed because of the saftey measures...possibly but not likely...i totally thing it was luck how bout anyone else?

yeah this is worth posting. i couldnt belive it when i saw it thursday on totally nascar. its similar to mike waltrips bush crash in practice 1990. this might be a bit worse tho

the gates always been there it just wasn't latched properly so when he hit it it opend and he hit the cornor of the wall
